Boxing Tourney
This weekend UK hosted it’s first regional Boxing tournament in a decade. I really want to go to Reno to shoot nationals but I dont know if that is going to happen since its in a week and a half, And I’d have to fly out there.

I was a little dissapointed with myself at this event, I feel like I’m kind of out of my groove. I’m ready for a good solid photo project to get myself back into the swing of things. I’m also really ready for the summer so I can quit worrying about school and just focus on photos.
Mud Wars
To raise money for their philanthropies, this week a fraternity and a sorority at UK had a capture the flag tournament in the mud. I think that there was more throwing people in the mud than there was actual capture the flag playing, but either way, people rolling around in the mud was fun to take pictures of. Until one of them got the bright idea on a testosterone high that the “photographer girl” should be muddy too. HA. i quickly convinced him he was very wrong.
Out to Lunch.
My hits have slowly wanned away during my flee from the country for vacation. I might have forgotten to mention that I’d be on a boat for 7 days in the middle of the ocean. I went to Cozumel, Mexico, Belize City, Belize, and Nassau, Bahamas. It was absolutely beautiful and I’m terribly sad to be back in Kentucky weather. But I am ready to get back to work. I was surprised with how few pictures I took, but then I realized: I needed a break. It was great, but now I’m ready for some hardcore shooting again.

The great feature hunt.
My feature pictures from round one of my feature hunt for today… well sucked. Ed was to nice to tell me they did, but they did. So during round two of my search, I found these guys playing basketball since today was absolutely beautiful.
Essentially these are all the same picture. But I’m a terrible self editor, and I couldn’t pick the one I liked the best.
Legwork.
Jill and I are working on a project together again. Finally. Were doing a story on Eastern State Hospital for rehabilitation. Today we went on a 2 hour guided tour of the place. It was exactly what it sounds like; a guided tour. But we did get to go in some really cool old places, like the underground tunnels where the rooms used to be. They seriously looked like jail cells. This should turn out to be a really cool project if i can get the access I need, Eastern State began just a few decades after the declaration of independence was signed, so it has some amazing history. It will hopefully render a cool multimedia. but for now, here are some photos from our groundwork today.
