The photographic life.
I wasn’t really sure what I expected to get out of Sam Abell’s talk at WKU on Thursday night. But whatever I expected, all of my expectations were trumped. I was literally left breathless as he smiled and raised his hand and lovingly touched his projected photographs that have been seen by thousands of eyes.
“I’ve come to realize that there are many test’s in the the photographic life,” he smiled. “You don’t have to make an A. You just can’t fail.”
“The photographic life.” I feel like this phrase sums up who I am, who I wish to be, and how I feel very often. It is a life unlike any other; full of adventure, full of frustration. Marked by creativity, and covered in uncertainty.
Its not for everyone, But I know its for me.
On a different note I promised a friend that I’d post my railroad story thus far. So here is the edit that Jim and Carla narrowed down for me.

I have a lot of other extraneous photos that didn’t make the cut, to see those go to my old blog posts
