Uncertain Future

Posted in Uncategorized by Britney on July 30, 2008

Lynn is waiting for a verdict from the city of Munford to find out whether she will be allowed to replace the existing mobile homes in her trailer park. The trailer park has been there since 1940 but recently the city decided that since she is not zoned, and doesn’t have two acres, she won’t be able to replace the homes. This means that when they get old, she will have to uproot and leave. “I just don’t know what to do, I’m stuck. This is my income. I can’t tell these people I may have to take their homes away.”

Band of Bikers

Posted in Uncategorized by Britney on July 28, 2008

I have been lucky enough to spend my last few weeks here in memphis working with a really cool group of bikers. Sorry for the lack of updates these days, but here are a few photographs from my multimedia project I am working on. Ill post the finished thing after I finish it tomorrow.

They liked what they saw.

Does this crop annoy you?

The Alley Cat

Posted in Uncategorized by Britney on July 23, 2008

Saturday night I shot a bike race, called an Alley Cat where the racers had to stop at different checkpoints. Sort of like a scavenger hunt/bike race hybrid.  I was at the last checkpoint where they had to stop, take off a tire, deflate it and then reinflate it.

Baseball

I shot a Redbirds game the other day for three innings because I had to make deadline. Not a whole lot happened in the first three innings but this is what I got. There was some nice light before I left though.

On the bright side, one thing I have accomplished this summer is I have become really comfortable using 300’s and 400’s, which was really awkward for me at first.
